Why did the creators of Boku no Pico make a disgusting anime?

This is High School Of The Dead. A horror series that’s filled with MORE fan service than your average anime, despite it being a horror series.
The creators behind it love fan service, hentai and Ecchi themes in particular. Which is why it turned out the way it did (though the manga is worse).
What’s this got to do with your question?
The point is: creators make things that
- They like
- They enjoy
- They’re into
- Inspire them
The creators of Boku No Pico probably have some kind of fetish for that stuff. Or maybe something else we’re unaware of.
But you can guarantee they made such a “disgusting” anime because, to some degree, they like it, enjoy it, or were intentionally trying to have that kind of impact.
